Emanuel Kolta is a Lead Analyst at GSMA Intelligence where he is responsible for research, analysis and benchmarking on network innovation and energy efficiency. He helps to identify operational and financial benefits for mobile network operators and technology vendors. He led GSMA Intelligence's multiyear Energy Efficiency Analysis and Benchmarking project, which covered 65 mobile networks and 1.6 billion connections globally during 2023. He has also authored several research and analyses such as Going Green: benchmarking the Energy Efficiency of Mobile; and The Essential Role of AI in Improving Energy Efficiency. Before joining GSMA Intelligence, Emanuel was a management consultant and held various analytical roles in telecommunications. He holds an MSc in International Economics and Business from the University of Groningen, and a BSc in Applied Economics from the Corvinus University of Budapest.
