Can private networks breathe new life into mobile IoT?

This report is available to those subscribed to the IoT & Enterprise module.
Activity in the private wireless networks space is increasingly busy, at least from a supply of solutions point of view, which suggests that the mobile ecosystem is anticipating high demand from enterprise adopters, whose digital transformation requires mobile connectivity and, subsequently, IoT. However, IoT isn’t necessarily front of mind for private wireless solution vendors (operators and other suppliers), as it’s not typically included in combined offerings, at least for now. This piece takes a deeper look into the potential synergy between IoT and private wireless, highlighting that IoT is in fact a key value enabler of private networks, which is why it will likely see uptake wherever private networks are adopted.
