A GSMA Intelligence global survey of operators conducted in Q4 2024 reveals that 65% have an AI strategy in place. More recently, MWC Barcelona 2025 confirmed operators are moving faster and deeper with AI commercial deployments, implementing AI across a range of use cases.

GSMA Intelligence has identified five AI use cases for fixed broadband operators that aim to enhance customer experience while reducing costs: AI for network optimisation, AI for fibre rollout, AI integrated into CPE, AI for sales and marketing, and AI for customer service.
