Innovating to protect

The security threat landscape across telecoms and the broader technology industry continues to evolve at a rapid pace. Security threats are an assumed constant in the digital world. This has been the case since the PC era of the 1980s. However, risk levels are higher now.

This is the second in a five-part series on security innovations in the telecoms industry. This edition focuses on Northern Africa, broadly defined as countries north of the Sahel. The research evaluates the threat landscape for telecoms operators; tracks where and why things have changed in the threat landscape – for better or worse; discusses innovation and best practice in solutions to mitigate or repel threats; and examines potential future scenarios and how to get ahead of the curve.
