Online TV subscriptions: the sun is still shining but clouds are gathering
This report is available to those subscribed to the Fixed, TV and Convergence module.
The latest GSMA Intelligence survey highlights that consumer adoption of online TV subscriptions continues to grow, albeit slowly.
However, in-depth analysis of the results provides a more nuanced picture. In some countries, the number of online TV subscriptions that consumers simultaneously subscribe to is growing, while other countries show a stabilisation or even a decline in the number taken. One trend that will likely bring challenges for providers is the fall in the number of simultaneous subscriptions among low-income subscribers to online TV services.
